Reflection
Being a student ambassador taught me to be more responsible and to work in a team as well as improved my leadership abilities, time management and social skills. Throughout my 7 months of service, I have been challenged with new responsibilities and taken up tasks that brought me out of my comfort zone as an introvert who struggles with anxiety. This program has pushed me to make new friends through the colleagues and staff I worked with as well as the students and parents I met. My experience as a student ambassador has helped me develop and hone skills that are beneficial to prepare me for future endeavours.

Feedback
I think the overall student ambassador program is run well and has a good system. However, I think it could be improved with a stricter applicant selection process. I personally know students who successfully applied, only to work one event or none at all. I feel like this is a waste of resources and pointless as these people are only student ambassadors by name and do not contribute anything. Moreover, some student ambassadors who do work events have proved underqualified for the role. Secondly, I think it would be more convenient if the events sheet could be accessed on a mobile phone as some students might not have a laptop at all or have limited access to one.
